Our EP has been reviewed by one of the coolest blog sites about music on the net. Read our review written by Storm on the website: File Under.
Not only File Under gave our release some attention but also Radio Mortale didn't miss our new tracks. Jasper van Vugt already played it a couple of times last few weeks but now we also got reviewed by het Mortale Tribunaal. Listen to the radio show here:

It rocked last night. We played a great show, we've met lots of new people and had loads of fun with Stereo. Thanks to everyone that showed up!

Last night was fun! Thanks for the support yet again and congratulations to Klopje Popje for winning the preliminary round. Next friday we'll hear if we get a wildcard to compete some more in the Amsterdamse popprijs, we'll be clenching our bottoms till then.

That was one hell of a Lowlands last weekend, we enjoyed it and saw some truly epic shows. (Faith No More, Them Crooked Vultures, Grace Jones)
Sunday next week we'll be playing in the Panama for the Best of Live! After seeing all those great bands last weekend we're itching.
We're playing that show because we've been selected out of all the bands that played there the last year, there will also be a jury present, consisting out of music business professionals like Stacey Rookhuizen and Meindert Bussink. With a vote at the end of the evening to decide who is Panama's Best of Live.
So come and see us, tell us your opinion and vote for us.

The others kind of forced me to write a little piece of introduction for you all about, well… myself. So here goes
My name is Caron, 28 years of age, I play drums (and piano and a little bit of guitar), and I have a soft spot for vocal harmonies.
My love for music got ignited by watching music videos while I was still wearing diapers. I grew fascinated by the way some videos were able to translate the overall feel of the song. When I got introduced to my mother’s record collection, and primarily to the Beatles and Queen, it was only a matter of time before I would pick up an instrument of my own.
My mother was very reluctant to let me play drums at first, so I started out playing the piano when I was about 10. About five years later I was able to pick up the drumsticks after all. Half a year later I got into my first band, and through my newly found friends I met up with Lody and Robbert while attending weekly hang outs at a friend’s place.
A few years later I would be playing in a band with them as a stand in for their drummer who left the country for a few months. It was a great experience, and when their drummer returned we went our separate ways. It took us a long time before we would meet up again in this fashion.
I met up with the whole band while being on holiday with a group of common friends. Two months later, I got the call, although not a collect one. The rest, as they say, is history.
I hope I’ll be able to fill the void left by Tommy’s departure, but I’ll certainly give it my best shot! I’m looking forward to making a lot of collect calls to all!!

We have been selected to compete in the Amsterdamse Popprijs yet again! Were bigger, stronger and faster then ever before so we have high expectations of ourselves.
We'll be confidently swaying judges on september 18 in the JC Volta at the preliminary round. Come and root for us, seeya then!

Big news! Due to the cheesy reason of artistic differences with our lovely drummer Tommie, we've decided a while ago to go our seperate ways.
Luckily for the rest of us Caron, a good friend, was immediatly interested in filling the seat behind the drumkit.
After jamming with him over the last month or so we know that he's the right guy for Collect Call from Mars and decided to give him a permanent position. (All very official, well, every excuse for a party counts!)
In the coming days we'll force him to write something about himself which will be posted here.

Planning shows, getting some juicy reviews on our demo, painting banners, making buttons and off course writing songs! We have some great new ideas we’re working on, some things really different. And we are back again from an insane holiday in a Castle in the Ardennen. Lots of new impressions, new and old friends, new ideas but overall lots of alcohol.
So as a fresh start we would like to inform you about the three new demo songs which you can now listen to on our website (Going Out For Dancin’, Love That Night and Lucid). Secondly, we are very busy making music video’s of the material gathered over the past few months (including the Ardennen trip), but it seems that the video program loves to challenge us, so it will take a bit longer then expected. Therefore we will post some embarrassing pictures soon.
We also have a new show coming up the 30th of May at the Meander. More information about this gig will be presented shortly.

A small update.
The P60 night was great, we played more songs then expected and met some old and new people. And congratulations to the Tomas Day Band for winning this year!

For now were going on a little holiday in the Ardennes, which each and everyone of us really needs by now.

We had an old fashioned blast at the P60. Thanks everybody who came out to support us again! There will be some video footage of this gig soon, but right now we are experiencing some audio difficulties...
To hear us in the true audio sense of the word, we will be rocking it at the Panama in Amsterdam this Friday. It is going to be a special gig because that day it is Lody's, our guitarist, birthday!
So come and join all of us for a night of rock, drinking to Lody surviving another year and clubbing at the Panama afterwards.

Tonight the first gig in a while in the N201 in Aalsmeer with Five last words, we'll be playing a lot of new songs, so if youre in the neighbourhood, check it out! We'll rock around 10 o' clock, no entrance fee.
If you can't make it tonight we have another gig in two weeks (12-03-2009) in the P60 in Amstelveen, that evening will start around nine o' clock, entrance fee is € 5,- and we'll be entertaining you that night with other local bands The Birdbrains and the The Civets

It's been a while since we updated you all. But finally we're here again to bring you all the juicy details. The first days of recording at Studio Peggy 51 are done. All the drum and guitar tracks are done. We only have to redo one bassline to give it some more punch (we're never satisfied if it doesn't rock your pants off!). Also the first day of vocal recordings is behind us and we will get back into the studio for at least two more vocal sessions. We hope to start mixing the second half of February so the first results will be ready at the start of March. We'll keep you informed! ! !
We also have some new gigs planned for the end of February (N201) and March (P60) come check us out. We'll present you a very new exciting set with some really different style songs.

Last weekend was a blast. We really enjoyed playing Houtnacht on Saturday and LunaPop on Sunday. For everybody who came to one of the shows, thank you already for checking out our website! Soon there will be some photo's of these shows online, and maybe even a little movie.
We are also in the prosess of pre-recording our forthcomming EP. So you will all enjoy some new songs in HiFi digital stereo (hopefully) really soon! ! !

We are thrilled to tell all of you we WON ! ! ! We became first in the finals of the PopPrijs Amstelland en Meerlanden 2008. This means we will be playing Houtnacht in Haarlem and we get a day recoring time at Studio Peggy51, and yes this is the same studio we recorded our demo at. Also the P60 will arrange a couple of gigs all through the Netherlands. So you all will be hearing a lot of us in the short future. We'll keep you posted!
